Venue
The main meeting venue for CHOGM 2011 will be the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
As Perth's premier event destination, the PCEC is situated in the heart of the beautiful city of Perth, within easy walking distance of the city's major hotels, business, restaurant and retail districts and offers a range of transport options.
Its major facilities include:
- six exhibition pavilions;
- a 2,500-seat tiered Riverside Theatre;
- 23 specialist meeting rooms, varying in size; and
- the BelleVue ballrooms, with spectacular views over Perth’s sparkling Swan River.
Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre was designed by a team of Western Australia’s leading architects, engineers and builders, including The Cox Group, Arup and Multiplex respectively. The venue’s design capitalises on its unique riverside location, while providing a critical business link direct to Perth’s city centre for delegates and visitors.

Leader’s Retreat
Kings Park will be the beautiful setting for the Commonwealth Heads of Government retreat. The location will provide leaders with a valuable opportunity for private discussion and exchange of ideas.
The existing facilities at Kings Park are currently being expanded, and involves the replacement of the temporary marquee on top of the complex with a permanent high-quality facility and expansion of the adjacent Botanical Cafe to provide alfresco dining and BYO service.
The State Reception Centre being built for CHOGM will also provide the Western Australian community a new venue to host receptions, weddings and major events.
