CHOGM Cheers to WA's Wine and Beer Producers

A selection of Western Australia’s fine wines and beers have made the refreshments list for the Prime Minister’s dinner, Leaders’ Retreat barbecue and Spouse/Partner Program during the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

Federal Member for Fremantle Melissa Parke joined Andy Scade from Little Creatures, Edward Tomlinson from Lenton Brae, Roly Egerton-Warburton from Vasse Felix and Trevor Kent from Cullen Wines to preview some of the beverages on offer.

Ms Parke said the CHOGM Taskforce was spoilt for choice in making a selection that considered a variety of styles, quality and offered good value.

"These are among the best wines produced in WA and they will be a real showcase for the State’s premium wines," she said.

The refreshments list draws heavily from wineries from Margaret River region, but also from Denmark and Pemberton.
