CHOGM Volunteers Dressed For Success

Minister for Defence Stephen Smith has unveiled the uniform which will be worn by up to 500 volunteers during the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in October.

Mr Smith joined CHOGM Taskforce Head Terry Crane and Volunteering WA CEO Mara Basanovic in thanking the volunteers for generously offering their time to help showcase Perth to up to 3,000 international delegates.

Volunteers who are Venue and Transport Officers will wear a purple and white polo shirt, featuring the CHOGM logo on the front.

Volunteer drivers will wear a white dress shirt with a purple tie and black pants.

Mr Smith said the uniforms were stylish, and the vibrant choice of colour will ensure the volunteers will be easily identified by visiting delegations.
