Perth Florists Pick of the Bunch For CHOGM 2011
Two Perth flower businesses will have their stunning creations on display during the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting next week.
One of the many floral highlights include a 58 metre-long arrangement which will form a centrepiece in one of the main Executive Session boardrooms for Heads of Government.
It will be all hands on deck for the teams at Burswood’s Affaire of Flowers and East Victoria Park’s Flowers in the Park to assemble and transport the flowers to various Perth locations over the next week.
The arrangements feature a range of native wildflowers all sourced locally from growers around Western Australia, and include the State’s floral emblem, kangaroo paw; banksias and coccineas.
Florists Kathryn Hamilton and Helen Hauber said they are excited to have their flowers on show, and after CHOGM 2011, the arrangements will be donated to local nursing homes and hospitals.
